A reprobate in finite chains,
I wish to learn to fly,
Although I know no other means
Than leap, and hope to die.

My waxen wings will melt away,
I know I’ll hit the ground
Twice as hard as yesterday,
I’ll land without a sound.

For, though I tried and though I failed,
I heard a seraph sing.
And just before I hit, I sailed
Away on angel’s wings.

Wow. That's so deep and so powerful. Thanks so much for sharing. It's really really good.

I truly enjoy this. It's has such a good structure that it conveys the thought very clearly and point-blank with just a touch of surrealistic metaphor. It is pretty deep and yet vague enough that many can relate to the feelings conveyed in it. It's short and easy to read and I love your use of vocabulary. Fantastic! +fav
